1. Place the field book on a flat, well-lit surface
2. Ensure all 4 corners are visible in the frame
3. Hold the camera parallel to the page to avoid distortion
4. Keep the camera steady and tap to focus if needed
5. Click 'Capture' when the page is clearly visible
