North along the principal meridian between Sections 12 and 13:

Ch. 20.00 - Crossed small creek, 6 links wide, course E.

Ch. 40.00 - Set quarter section post, drove charred stake

- Bearing tree: Oak, 20" dia., N45°E, 42 links

- Soil: 1st rate, rolling prairie

- Scattered timber: Oak, Hickory

Ch. 65.50 - Intersected wagon trail to Fort Riley

Ch. 80.00 - Set post cor. of Sections 1, 12, 13 & 24

- Bearing tree: Elm, 15" dia., S20°W, 25 links

Weather turned inclement at 4 o'clock. Survey suspended.
