Blue Community Assessment Guide

Step 1: Familiarize Yourself

Get familiar with the blue community assessment questions. These questions are what you will find inside the assessment app for destination communities.

Once you have been added to a team, you will be able to edit data related to that destination community.

Step 2: Research and Record

After acquiring the metric questions for the assessment, begin your research. Make notes regarding:

  • Data that may already be recorded inside the app
  • Data that is missing

Once you have identified the questions you will be responsible for answering, record your data inside the assessment app.

Step 3: Establish Baseline

After your team has answered all questions and cited answers, you will have established a baseline for your community.

From this point, whenever you edit any data inside the assessment app, you will:

  • Unlock historical modules for that data
  • See your data charted and graphed over time in the stakeholders dashboard

Step 4: Set Goals

Coordinate with your team to establish goals for the near future.

Record these goals as notes to stakeholders. This allows you to prove the sincerity of your sustainability efforts in real-time when you reach your goals.

Note: Team goals are recorded in the assessment app and are visible in the stakeholders dashboard.

Step 5: Establish Best Practices

When your team meets its goals, you are establishing best practices for the questions you've improved upon.

These best practices become suggestions for other destinations that are:

  • Just getting started
  • Lacking ideas about ways to solve certain sustainability issues
